Limited to 8 artists

The basis of a collagraph is collage where you add and remove elements to a rigid surface. You can use this technique to create a range of beautiful textures, tones and marks.

During the course you will create a set of collagraph plates using a range of materials and a variety of plate-making techniques. You’ll experiment with

  • texture
  • tone
  • pattern
  • mark making

and take inspiration from your drawings or images.

You’ll use the plates you’ve made to produce a series of experimental prints on fabric using a printing press. We will explore basic and advanced inking techniques using both intaglio and relief methods (viscosity) to create variety in your prints.

No matter your level of experience, everyone is welcome to join us and create experimental collagraphs on fabric with Amarjeet.

We provide light refreshments throughout the day, but please bring your lunch. Or you could visit our neighbouring cafes in Dickens Yard – there are lots to choose from.
