Limited to 8 artists

Course Fees: Full Price – £260 : Retiree Price – £240 : Concession Price – £215

There are two definitions of collaging in The Free Dictionary; “A work of art created by attaching paper, wood, fabric, etc., onto a flat surface”, and “The combining of images from several photographs, usually rephotographing to provide a finished print.” In this course, guided by Amarjeet, you get to make your own painted papers from which to create a collage.

During this course you will create a range of exciting painted papers, using

  • paint and mono printing techniques (gelli plates)
  • stencils
  • stamps and mask

You’ll experiment with colour blending, pattern and texture and gradually build up layers and depth, by obscuring and overprinting. Your outcome will be a set of wonderful, unique prints that you have created.

Then using collage, and drawing materials you’ll design and develop a series of exciting paper collages that explore composition and scale.

No matter your level of experience, everyone is welcome to join this course and learn how to create glorious collages with Amarjeet.

We provide light refreshments throughout the day, but please bring your lunch. Or you could visit our neighbouring cafes in Dickens Yard – there are lots to choose from.
