In this short course we focus on developing a wider repertoire of mark making skills and how to use them in your own painting. You choose your subject.

Over the four sessions Diana will

  • explain some of the mark making techniques that exploit the versatility of oil paint
  • encourage you to experiment with applying paint in different ways – not just with a brush
  • help you plan and start a painting
  • show you ways in which different techniques can be used most effectively within your painting

We’ve limited the course to eight participants so that you not only benefit from some personal time with the tutor, but also enjoy peer support.

It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your journey with oil paints, or an experienced artist, this course suits painters with all levels of experience. Join us and have fun creating your mark in oils with Diana Braybrook.

  • Studio easel, chair and small table
  • Non-toxic painting medium
  • Large single use paper palettes
  • Jam jar for holding wet brushes
