Class details

Have you learned to draw, but want guidance? Join our class, Drawing for Beginners Plus with Sheila Moylan. During the eight week course you’ll work on different projects using both easels and drawing boards. As you continue your drawing journey you’ll learn new techniques, benefit from one to one time with the tutor as well as peer support.

Fridays

10am – 12pm

Limited to 10 people

Sheila bases the classes loosely on a theme to help you start the project and learn how to improve your drawing skills. She will set you tasks and drawing challenges that help you develop your own artistic style and give you links to support materials. If you have a personal project that you want to work on with Sheila’s guidance, bring it along.

By the end of the course you will be more confident in

  • imaginative composition
  • technique
  • objective drawing

You will be amazed how you can continue improving your drawing skills in just two hours when you decide to enrol on this course with Sheila! Your drawings will mean something and you’ll be pleased to share them with others. Join like minded people in a small class where you can develop at your own speed and benefit from one to one time with the tutor.

About the tutor


Sheila Moylan

Sheila Moylan has a B.A. (Hons) Fine Art Sculpture and Psychology from UEL where she focused on body casting and self portraiture. She graduated in 1995 and has worked supporting young people for most of her career. During this time she ran an alternative programme to GCSE in Richmond
making art the main subject.

Since 2015 Sheila has worked in LB Ealing running art classes for adults with learning disabilities for local charities and popular courses in drawing for OPEN Ealing for adults and children.

Her work has been exhibited locally in the W3 Gallery. In 2018 she exhibited her sculptures as part of Hammersmith and Fulham Arts Fest and in 2020 exhibited her work in a virtual exhibition for Huddle in Hammersmith. She is currently working on a project based on the mythology and megalithic art of Ireland.

She is also a musician, harpist and singer performing at small venues in and around London and works as a singing tutor for Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith .
