Choose to join a Fresh Art Club summer holiday workshop and have a great time with your friends. Throughout August Anna has workshops for you to join.

Workshops for children aged 6 – 8 years old

17 August : 1 – 2pm

£15 per person

Street Art Summer workshop for children aged 6-8 years old. During this workshop you’ll learn about the American artist Jean Michel Basquiat and create a piece of art inspired by his famous work PEZ Dispenser.

18 August : 10 – 11am

Under the Sea workshop for children aged 6 – 8. We’re exploring the world below the waves and talking about all the creatures that live there. Afterwards, you’ll create your own under water night time scene.

Happy Hippo workshop is for 6 – 8 year olds. You’ll have a great time drawing and painting your own happy hippo using watercolour paints.

City at Night workshop is for anyone aged between 6 and 8 years old. You’ll have a lot of fun talking about and creating your own night time city scape.

Workshops for 9 – 12 year olds

17 August : 2.15 – 3.15pm

£15 per person

Paul Klee Cat and Bird workshop for children aged 9-12. In this hour long workshop you will use oil pastels or watercolour to create your own version of this famous painting.

Picasso Collage Workshop for 9 – 12 year olds. You’ll create and collage a portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso.

Warhol Animal Workshop is for young people aged between 9 and 12 years old. During the one hour session you will learn about the artist, Andy Warhol and draw an animal in the same style that he used.

Mondrian Maps is a great summer workshop for everyone aged between 9 and 12 years old. Inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian you will create a picture using pages of the London A-Z map book as your canvas.

Workshops for the Family

19 August :

10am – 12pm

£65 for a family of 4

Printing with Flowers is a workshop for the family. The ticket price is for 4 attendees aged 5 and over, one of which must be an adult. In this two hour family workshop artist Jess Chan will expertly guide you and your child/children through the process of printing flowers using the pounding method and painting with natural dyes onto your own cotton neck/ head scarf to take home.

26 August :

10am – 12pm

Colourful Tie-Dye Family workshop is a fun filled two hours led by Toyah Hemmings. During the workshop you and your family will learn how to tie and dye your t.shirt and tote bag to take home. You’ll be the envy of your neighbours.

About the tutor


Anna Bhowmick

Anna Bhowmick is the founder of FRESH Art Club for Children. She has a BA (Hons) Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern and has been running  popular and lively art clubs for primary school children at lunchtimes and after school since 2013.

She is a qualified teaching assistant – with experience of working in both primary and high schools. Before teaching, she worked in fashion and retail focussing on the creative aspects of visual merchandising and display.
