Do you enjoy painting in oils, or would you like to give it a try? Join us and make your mark in oils during this short course led by Diana Braybrook.
Diana leads a series of four workshops for anyone who loves painting with oil paints, or wants to give them a try. Our studio is a place for you to plan and start a painting; then bring it to fruition with support and encouragement from an experienced oil painter.

Limited to 9 artists.
In this short course we focus on developing your painting techniques using oil paints. We’ll start with how to paint on a dark background. You choose your subject and led by Diana you will learn how to develop your work.
Over the four sessions Diana will
- explain some of the mark making techniques that exploit the versatility of oil paint
- show you ways in which different techniques can be used most effectively within your painting
- encourage you to experiment with applying paint in different ways
- help you plan and start a painting
We’ve limited the course to nine participants so that you not only benefit from some personal time with the tutor, but also enjoy peer support. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your journey with oil paints, or an experienced artist, this course suits painters with all levels of experience.
