Join our weekend printmaking course and learn how to make your own prints with Robbert Ruigrok.

During the weekend you’ll learn about

  • various printing processes
  • tools
  • materials
  • the many creative possibilities of this medium
  • how to use a manual printing press

Prints not only make ideal gifts for friends and family and cards, they are an excellent addition to your portfolio if you are preparing for art college.

This is a practical, hands-on course with some theory and lots of support from the tutor. At the end of it you will take home the handmade, original limited edition prints of your own art you have created.

The course is suitable for people with all levels of experience in printing and etching. If you are a beginner, or just starting your printing journey, you will learn, develop and practice the skills you need to make your own prints. If you have some experience in printmaking, you’ll be able to work on your own projects.

We’ll provide all the materials you need to join us for a weekend of fun making prints.

About the tutor


Robbert Ruigrok

Robbert Ruigrok was born in Brussels and trained at the Saint Luke Institute for Fine Arts and Architecture, Ghent and the Royal Academy for Fine Arts Ghent. For the first two years he focused on drawing, etching and lithography. He finished his Masters in Fine Art with painting in 1982. Subsequently he attended the University Ghent, studying Art History and Archaeology ending with an MA in 1988, with distinction.

He settled in London in 1992.

With his paintings, graphic work and sculptures, he tries to create visual milestones in his personal inner and outer journeys, in search for meaning and self-transformation.

Robbert is an experienced tutor and regularly tutors online and in person.
