Class details

Join us for a four week course as we focus on painting New Beginnings. This series of four oil painting workshops is for anyone who loves painting with oil paints, or wants to give them a try.

Wednesdays 10am – 1pm

20 April – 11 May inclusive

Course Fee: Full – £105 ; Retiree – £90 ; Concession – £70

Limited to 9 artists

In this short course we focus on doing a painting using the theme, “A New Beginning”. This theme is open to interpretation in a variety of ways. Springtime is the season of new beginnings and new life, but you might choose to do a painting inspired by a fresh start in life, such as a new love, new home, or a new pastime.

Our studio is a place for you to plan and start a painting; then bring it to fruition with support and encouragement from an experienced oil painter.

Over the four sessions Diana will

  • show you ways in which some other artists have approached this theme
  • help you plan your themed picture and start painting new beginnings
  • explore ways with you so you feel confident using colours to generate mood
  • show you how to use different painting techniques most effectively within your painting

It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your journey with oil paints, or an experienced artist, this painting in oils course suits artists with all levels of experience.
