Ages: 7 – 11 years old
Fees: £12.50 per session £120 if you pay for the whole course up front
Materials included
This unique Art History course for children will cover a range of subjects and the use of various techniques.
Each class is inspired by an artist or art movement.
In Part 1 we will try out different techniques and materials including
- specialist pencils
- acrylic paint
- oil pastel resist
- mixed media
- watercolor magic
- making own brushes
Part 2 will be dedicated to topics:
- Portraiture
- Objects and Meanings
- Modern Art
- Investigating Patterns
- Landscapes
During the course each child will
- develop their knowledge on the topics
- create a portfolio of works
- work on improving their own style and technique so they can work at home with a wider range of possibilities
- develop more confidence
Children will learn about the main artists who changed art history through their new approach.
The course will also allow the understanding of how to look at paintings and express own feelings through creativity.
Additionally there will be a field trip to visit art galleries and museums to experience the real artwork connected with the topic we study.
About the Tutor
Agnieszka Arabska is the Inspirator and Founding Director behind Imagine Nation. She has worked in the musuem sector for over 10 years devising and delivering art sessions at the most exciting national museums and galleries in London and organising unique museum tours for children (up to 11 years old).
She started to offer classes in Ealing in 2012 and has delivered various courses across the Borough in various community centres and coffee shops.
