This is an opportunity for you to create your own material, promote your talents and be part of a creative community of like-minded artists.
During this session you will
- Develop movement sequences and explore content creation techniques using your mobile phone
- Develop a movement language inspired by the neo noir film genre
- Explore the principles of

- art direction
- composition
- music
- colour theory
- Capture and document your movement through video and photography
- Create the foundation for a short movement film
The Invisible Ink Performers’ Workshop is taking place on Zoom. To participate you will need
- Access to a camera phone
- A laptop
- An open mind, resourcefulness and imagination
Led by Stephanie Osztreicher and Rebecca Tortora, this workshop is part of their broader research programme developing cinematic themed life drawing and movement events.
They will document the workshops and share the process in an online blog. You will also be able to listen to a series of podcast interviews they are creating that are linked to the project.

About the Tutors
Invisible Ink is a new collaboration between Stephanie Osztreicher and Rebecca Tortora who trained together at the Lecoq School in Paris. They create virtual interactive life drawing experiences by combining cinematic themes, movement, narrative, character, lighting and music. Their collaboration is a positive response to the Pandemic and showcases artistic innovation, individual creativity and accessible online experiences for visual artists and enthusiasts.
Rebecca Tortora is Artistic Director of Fit to Burst where she has written and directed Carnival Collectors and The Memory Machine, a children’s theatre commission for UKCCA. Her writing and directing credits include Last Night I Met You Dreaming and #TheMarket. She has directed new writing at The Blue Elephant Theatre, Soho Theatre and The Arcola. She has also worked with East15 Acting School.
Stephanie Osztreicher is a movement director, teacher, performer, and life model. Stephanie trained at CSSD and Ballarat Arts Academy and works across film, visual arts and music. She has also spent time in Japan, Melbourne and London training in traditional and contemporary Japanese performance. For over a decade Stephanie has worked in the performing arts in Australia and the UK and Europe. As a life model, she has worked with high profile art institutions, individual artists and on a range of performance art events.
