Class details
Learn how to create wire art sculpture with Sheila Moylan in a short, practical course.
Saturdays
2 – 4pm
6 – 20 November
Course: £65 (£55 for concessions)
Pay As You Go Rate: £25 (£20 for concessions)
The class is limited to 8 artists.
Learn the principles of sculpture, using the most ordinary of materials -wire. This workshop will involve making 3 D drawings using wire rather than pencil with a live model. Sheila Moylan has had her wire sculptures exhibited so she knows a thing or two about wire. Join us and who knows where this will take you!
In the first session you learn how to draw with wire. It is an opportunity to practice using the material and following the line into space rather than on the flat page. In the following two weeks we work with live models and you make a full figure in wire direct from life. You can also make heads and torsos.
We provide all the material you need to complete your unique wire art sculpture. The only thing we ask you to provide is a pair of gloves if we use chicken wire as the material one week.
You will be amazed at what you can achieve in just two hours when you start getting to grips with wire art.
