Class details

Would you like to develop your oil painting skills and move your artistic practice to a new level? We’ve created a place where you can paint and create art. So, why not join OPEN’s Oil Painting Studio and develop your skills in a friendly and supportive environment? This time our focus is on how to incorporate movement into our paintings.

Thursdays

10am – 1pm

10 – 24 October & 7 – 14 November (NO session on 31 October)

Course Fee: £125

Pay As You Go Rate: £30

Limited to 12 artists

Why join our studio? Our oil painting studio is

  • a place where you can work on your own subject under the guidance of an experienced oil painter and tutor
  • somewhere you can paint in the company of other like minded artists and benefit from peer support
  • grouped into blocks of sessions
  • a place where you have time to plan and develop your painting before bringing it to fruition

Experienced oil painter and tutor, Diana Braybrook, leads the studio. She sets a topic/theme for each block so you can focus on a particular technique and continue to develop your artistic practice in a controlled and enjoyable manner.

You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy OPEN’s Oil Painting Studio, but you do need some painting/drawing experience. You will get more from it, if you’ve some experience in painting with oil paints and enjoy painting under your own steam. We limit the number of artists of twelve which increases the opportunity for discussion and personal tuition.
