The Programme
In this edition we feature sets from:
Mathieu Sylvestre
Autodidact musician Mathieu Sylvestre has been based in Berlin since 2010, after moving from France following 10 years as a vocalist and guitarist in rock music. Working with guitar, cello, effect pedals, and contact microphones, he initially experimented with sound and noise, exploring the origins of vibration through purely analogue means. Following these early guitar-based noise experiments, he developed sound pieces using field recordings and Moog analogue synthesizers. His live electronic performances, based on improvised patterns, have evolved over time, highlighting the boundaries between analogue sound textures and the core of electronic vibration, with a focus on bringing a physical, sculptural approach to noise music.

mee tannoy
mee tannoy is a solo experimental project based in Kuala Lumpur. He uses field recordings and synth-produced sounds to explore how instruments, bodies, and environments interact with each other, what these linkages and friction say about the use of sound and its limits, and how we can draw affects from uncomfortable, unintelligible textures.
mee tannoy has recently released an album on Bandcamp. Last year, he produced a sound art project for a group art exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Haydn Douet Lukies
Haydn Douet Lukies is a percussionist whose practice centres on highly resonant objects and site-responsive sound. Based in Portugal, he has developed a distinctive approach to solo percussion, working with antique metal and glass alongside found architectural surfaces. His music draws on a wide range of influences, from minimalism and Arabic percussion to jungle and industrial dub. Alongside his solo work, Douet Lukies has collaborated with musicians and visual artists across Europe in galleries and live settings.
Dragonmelt
Dragonmelt is a new, ambient, guitar based solo project by multi-instrumentalist Adrian Southby. The performance is improvised and the processing is wonderfully unpredictable. Although this performance is described as ambient, it may not be relaxing!
We look forward to seeing you at Ealing Extranormal Volume 47.
