The Programme
In this edition we feature sets from:
MKLord
MKLord is a saxophonist and bass player working primarily in the avant free-jazz noise area. As well as performing solo MKLord plays as part of the drone duo Landscape Suicide and he continues to collaborate with long-time comrades Capri-Batterie. For this performance MKLord will be playing tenor saxophone as well as his custom built long stringed instrument.
Rookery Ensemble
Rookery Ensemble will be performing as a duo with George E Harris – Harmonium / Melodica / electronics / Percussion / Voice and Keith Bray – Flute / Saxophone / Percussion. This incarnation of Rookery Ensemble project builds on drones, loops within rounds of sound and word. These are improvised within the ebb and flow moments using ideas of folk and contemporary music within the loose structures.

Kleptofirm
Kleptofirm explores drone and glitch with guitar, modular synthesiser, electroacoustic processing and feedback. Improvisation is at the core of his performance practice. His 2024 album/compilation is a collection of interactive performance and installation work, also exploring feedback and electronics.

Flooded Access + Guests
Flooded Access presents a new collaborative work created especially for Ealing Extranormal, bringing together improvised sound, electronics and additional performers in a piece developed for the occasion.
Flooded Access is the performance practice of Martin Lau, exploring electroacoustic sound, improvisation and close listening through electronics, woodwinds and found materials. For this performance, Martin is joined by Robin Vaughan-Williams, Edie Bailey, Liz Newbery, Ernesto Sarezale and Sara Nesbitt Gibbons.
