We launch our new regular literary evenings – Ealing Noir. It is a chance to meeting leading crime-writers who write about the darker side of life. You have a chance to ask questions, explore the joys of Noir, buy books and have a drink.

Best selling crime writer Amer Anwar agreed to help us launch the series.

Amer Anwar grew up in West London.

After leaving college he had a variety of jobs including

  • warehouse assistant
  • comic book lettering artist
  • driver for emergency doctors

He eventually settled into a career as a creative art worker/graphic designer and spent a decade and a half producing artwork, mainly for the home entertainment industry.

He has an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London. The Times and Guardian picked his debut novel as one of the books of the year. Brothers in Blood won the Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger. His second novel, Stone Cold Trouble, was longlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger in 2021.
