Event details

This free somatic belly dance session is a dynamic and embodied movement experience, inviting you to reconnect with your body, vitality, and authentic self.

Monday 4 March

12.30 – 1.30pm

FREE to participate

The session is open to complete beginners as well as those who have prior dance or movement experience.

Suitable for women aged 18+

In modern life, many women are pushed into their heads and into masculine modes of constant doing simply to get through daily life. Societal structures rarely honour the feminine qualities of flow, intuition, receptivity, and embodied presence. In this session, I guide you into connecting with your feminine energy.

Akaysha teaches the art of belly dance in a deeply somatic embodied way. We move between the slow and flowing to and more energising fiery hip movements. The dance awakens sensation, strength, openness, and confidence, allowing you to experience both grounded presence and vibrant aliveness. Rather than focusing on choreography or performance, I breakdown movements so that you really experience the depth of each shape and symbol connected with this ancient dance.

In a world that increasingly pulls us into disembodied and virtual ways of living. Expect to feel more alive, embodied, and connected — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
