Jess Chan is a designer specialising in printed textiles and natural dyes. She explores natural indigo vat dyeing techniques using the Japanese process of the shibori. By using these tie dye resist techniques of folding, clamping, stitching and gathering she creates repeat patterns.

During this workshop you will create a hand-dyed cotton tea towel.

This Indigo Shibori (tie-dye) workshop is suitable for beginners and up aged 18 or older.

We provide all materials you need for the workshop. You are welcome to bring your own natural fibre textiles or clothing to dip in the indigo vat.
