Join an intermediate drawing class with Jessica Rose to develop your drawing skills further and start tackling more complex subject matter.

6.30 – 8.30pm

During these seven classes you will explore techniques for accurately measuring and proportioning your pictures. Your tutor will also work with you to show you how to
- understand composition
- create dramatic tonal effects
- vary your mark-making
The sessions include structured activities as well as the opportunity to work on your own projects. For you to get the most from these classes with Jessica, it would be best if you have some drawing experience.
Materials required for the Intermediate Drawing Class
- Drawing paper
- Masking tape
- Pencil (just a 2B will be enough but softer ones can also be useful)
- A rubber
- If you would like to work with pen, charcoal, pastel or other media then please bring those too.
- If you have your own projects you would like to work on please bring appropriate source material (e.g. photos or the objects you would like to draw)
About the Tutor
Jessica is a painter, print maker and art teacher. Based in Ealing, she does a lot of work to commission and her clients include the historic stately home Syon Park. Jessica has exhibited with the Society of Women Artists, Chelsea Art Society and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. In 2018 she was chosen from 1,600 applicants to compete in TV competition Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year.
