Contemporary calligraphy is not only a beautiful art form, it is an immensely soothing pastime. In this relaxed group workshop, you learn how to create modern calligraphy using a pointed pen.
If you are a complete beginner, this is the class for you. All you need, is your enthusiasm and a love of lettering. Grania will bring the Prosecco together with all the tools and experience you need to help you create your own cards.
During the workshop Grania leads you through a variety of exercises that help you get to grips with the main shapes, strokes and letter forms in the art of calligraphy. By the end of the evening you’ll be starting to create joined up words in your own unique style and have the skills to be able to calligraph your own cards, love notes and place settings.
The workshop is held in a well ventilated room at OPEN Ealing. We arrange the seating to maximise social distancing whilst maintaining the enjoyment of a group session. Classes are limited to 10 people and everyone has their own 2m table.
The cost of this Introduction to Modern Calligraphy workshop includes
- a calligraphy starter kit including nib and ink
- exclusive worksheets
- light refreshments.
