  • The Primacy of Plot
  • How to adhere to conventions
  • How to incorporate elements of fantasy

If you have some experience of writing and are keen to develop your skills this is a good course for you to join. You will benefit by signing up to the companion course The Craft of Literary Fiction that precedes it. By attending both courses, you will get the full experience.

We shall run a writing competition in May after both courses have finished. Entry is free and there’s a prize. We’ll share the details of the competition at the beginning of April.

All you need to join the course is a notebook (paper or IT) and internet connection. Each week we’ll send you support notes and access to a recording of the session.
