In this two hour workshop you will learn the art of Madhubani Painting including how to create complex border designs in a supportive environment.
Tutor Komal Madar guides you through the process of creating a traditional Madhubani painting step by step. During the process she explains the inspiration and meaning associated with the images and patterns used in these artworks. Komal also gives you a bespoke pattern-training sheet to help you make your own beautiful masterpiece.
Komal has designed the Madhubani Art: Forest of Honey Workshop as a way to bring people together in a creative environment. She demonstrates how creating art in a mindful way will result in you feeling a sense of increased wellbeing.
The cost of this workshop includes:
- Exclusive/bespoke pattern training worksheets
- A pdf hand-out for future reference (emailed to you after the workshop)
- A4 water colour paper for your drawing
- A plastic wallet/folder to keep your artwork in
No prior experience is required. The aim is to enjoy this art as a form of mindfulness and wellbeing.
We provide materials for you to use during this workshop. However you are welcome to bring your own watercolour and acrylic paints and brushes, if you prefer.

About the Tutor
Komal Madar is a British Indian Artist. She studied at UAL Central St Martins College of Art & Design and has exhibited and sold her work in the UK and abroad which resulted in her being featured in many international publications.
Komal is also an experienced tutor and runs a variety of workshops in London focusing on art and mindfullness.
