Monet and Architecture – a virtual tour with Nick Pearson

Event Details

When: 12 Feb -
Friday 10:30 am
Price: £20 per person (£30 for two people)

Join Nick for a virtual tour of the National Gallery’s Monet and Architecture exhibition.

Friday 12 February

This was the first exhibition which looked at Monet’s career through the buildings he painted. He painted the architecture of his time and included examples of modern, historic, simple and grand architecture. Monet painted buildings from Normandy, Rouen, Paris, London, and Venice. He painted buildings in villages, by the coast as well as some of Europe’s most famous monuments.

Nick thought the exhibition included some of the best works of art by Monet he had ever seen and he saw several pieces he didn’t know. The critics agreed with him.

‘I wish I could give this show more than five stars’

Evening Standard

Join Nick’s retrospective look at Monet and Architecture via Zoom. If you have never used Zoom before, Nick will show you how to download the program and get started.

When you have booked your place, Nick sends you a handout with high resolution images. You can refer to this handout during the lecture and see the images clearly. He projects the images on his studio wall and uses them to point things out as he speaks. After the tour Nick sends you his lecture notes.

The price for the two-hour virtual tour and notes is £20 per person. If two of you join the tour and share a computer screen, the price is £30 for you both. You can pay Nick via bank transfer or cheque. He will send you the details.
