Oil Painting for Beginners is a four week course led by Diana Braybrook.

Limited to 8 participants.
Course Fee: £120 (£100 Concessions)
Learn how to paint using oils in four weeks. You’ll learn how painting with oils differs from using watercolours or acrylics.
In week two you’ll learn how pigments behave and how to mix colours. You’ll make your own reference sheet for future use and take your first oil painting home.
In weeks three and four you’ll paint a landscape using a photograph of your special place as a reference point.
Materials Required:
Oil Painting for Beginners is designed to help you decide if painting with oils is a pastime you want to continue. We shall supply many materials, accessories and canvas boards to keep your costs low.

Brushes:
Synthetic set £19.95 or
Set of hog brushes £14.95 (Cass Art)
(You can use both these sets for painting with acrylics as well as oil.)
Paints:
This limited range of 6 student quality oil colours. Either Daler Rowney Georgian oils or Winsor & Newton Winton oils in 37/38ml tubes. Prices range from £2.95 – £3.50 per tube = total price 17.70 – £21.00

About the Tutor
Diana Braybrook trained initially at Camberwell College of Art, London before studying for her degree in History of Art & Architecture at Reading University.
She is currently resident artist at Osterley Park & House, Isleworth where she uses the Garden Gallery in the stable block as her studio and occasional exhibition space. Visitors are welcome to visit her on an open studio day or by prior arrangement.
Diana is also an experienced tutor and has recently stepped down as a tutor at the 4020 club in LB Ealing.
