Painting with Acrylics is a wonderful opportunity for you to discover more of yourself as an artist.

Painting with Acrylics is limited to 7 people

Course fee: £105 adults (£90 concessions)

Pay As You Go Fee: £25 Adults (£20 Concessions)

During the first part of the course you shall explore the various techniques associated with acrylic paint. We’ll take inspiration from the work of famous artists so that you can explore techniques, colour and composition. In the final two weeks you’ll use the range of techniques we’ve discovered to create a completely original piece of art that matches your style and taste.

We welcome artists of all experience levels in this course and look forward to exploring your preferred painting style.

By the end of Painting with Acrylics and Joel Sydenham, you will have gained new skills and more confidence to create your own work.

MATERIALS

You will need to supply your own materials for this course:

  • Brush Set – must include flat, pointed and round brushes)
  • Acrylic Paint : We suggest
    • Black
    • Titanium White
    • Ultramarine
    • Yellow Ochre
    • Cadmium Red
    • Sap Green
    • Cadmium Yellow
    • Permanent Rose
  • 1 x pad of paper suitable for acrylic paints
  • Pencils for sketching, sharpener; an eraser; ruler
  • Apron or old shirt

About the Tutor

Joel Sydenham (chidi3s) is a visual artist based in Acton. He has a degree in chemical engineering which he gave up to fulfill his dream of being an artist and follow his passion for connecting with people on an emotional level. Not only is Joel a painter, he writes and performs poetry around London and has a range of merchandise. He is also a mentor for The Prince’s Trust.

Joel has a passion for community development and has run over 50 workshops for charities, educational organizations, and youth centers across London. He also works as an Art Tutor with Hounslow council’s adult education, where he creates and teaches adult and family learning courses. He believes every individual is born a creative genius, and as a tutor he aims to help people gain the necessary skills to express their genius.
