Class details

Join Nick Pearson in virtual ‘gallery tours’ of London’s permanent art collections, as well as selected, special exhibitions you might have missed. Of course, this can never substitute for the real thing, but you do get to view an exhibition from the comfort of your own home!

The price for the two-hour virtual tour and notes is £20 per person. If two of you join the tour and share a computer screen, the price is £30 for you both. You can pay Nick via bank transfer or cheque. He will send you the details.

Tuesday 24 August : 1.30pm : A review of Rembrandt’s Light Exhibition at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in 2019/2020.

Tuesday 24 August : 7.00pm : Tate Modern: Frank Bowling (Exhibition: 31 May–26 Aug 2019) 

Thursday 26 August : 10.30am : Enjoy the work of Modigliani. The Tate Modern had a popular exhibition of his work in 2017/2018)

Tuesday 31 August : 7.00 pm : Van Gogh loved Britain and this exhibition by Tate Britain in 2019 celebrates his work.

Join the virtual gallery tours via Zoom. If you have not used Zoom before, Nick can show you how to download and use the program.

Support Notes

When you have booked your place, Nick sends you a handout with high resolution images. You can refer to this handout during the lecture and see the images clearly. He projects the images on his studio wall and uses them to point things out as he speaks. After the tour Nick sends you his lecture notes.

About the Tutor

Nick is an internationally exhibited artist and an enthusiastic lecturer. He has a passion for art of all period and teaches at various levels in schools, colleges, universities and adult learning centres; including

  • London College of Contemporary Art
  • Richmond Art School
  • OPEN Ealing
  • University of Oxford
  • Northampton University
  • Bradford College of Art

His artistic practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and photographic work. His simple interventions and appropriations of the familiar things that surround us are made uncanny by way of his approach and working practices. They deal with the language, the possible associations and the status of ‘ordinary’ objects. For more information on his work and exhibitions visit his website
