Enjoy a virtual tour of French Realism paintings in the permanent collection of the Courtauld Gallery.
Friday 20 November
The Courtauld Gallery is one of Nick Pearson’s favourite collections and he wants to share the highlights with you. In this tour Nick focuses on French 19th-century modern art. It is probably the best permanent collection of this period outside Paris. You’ll see some works by the great Impressionist masters.
Join Nick’s virtual tour of French Realism via Zoom. Nick will send you a handout with high resolution images that you can refer to during the lecture. He projects the images on his studio wall and uses them to point things out as he speaks.
The price for a two-hour virtual tour and notes which Nick sends you after the lecture, is £20 per person. If two of you are sharing an email account, it will cost £30. You can pay Nick directly via bank transfer or cheque.
Email Nick directly to book your place on this virtual tour – firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have never used Zoom before, Nick will show you how to download the program and get started.
About the Tutor
Nick Pearson is an internationally exhibited contemporary artist. His practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and photographic work. His simple interventions and appropriations of the familiar things that surround us are made uncanny by way of his approach and working practices. They deal with the language, the possible associations and the status of ‘ordinary’ objects. Nick first studied on the Art & Design Foundation Course at Leeds (Jacob Kramer) College of Art and continued his studies at The Polytechnic Wolverhampton and Stourbridge College of Art.
He lectures on modern art and design history and runs other, short art & design units at London College of Contemporary Arts, OPEN Ealing and Richmond Adult Community College.
