Join a virtual tour of Turner’s Bequest at Tate Britain led by Nick Pearson.

Friday 27 November

10am

In this virtual tour you’ll experience the largest collection in the world of arguably Britain’s greatest painter.

You’ll learn about a wide selection of the works on show at Tate Britain. During the tour you can trace the influences and development of this intense, original and influential artist. Did you know that Turner did his best and most memorable work when he was in his sixties?

Join Nick’s virtual tour of Turner’s Bequest via Zoom. Nick will send you a handout with high resolution images that you can refer to during the lecture.

The price for a two-hour virtual tour and notes which Nick emails after the lecture is £20 per person. If two of you are sharing an email account, it will cost £30. You can pay via bank transfer or cheque.

Email Nick directly to book your place on this virtual tour – connie.spark@btopenworld.com

If you have never used Zoom, Nick will show you how to download the program and get started.

About the Tutor

Nick Pearson is an internationally exhibited contemporary artist. His practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and photographic work. His simple interventions and appropriations of the familiar things that surround us (made uncanny by way of his approach and working practices) deal with the language, the possible associations and the status of ‘ordinary’ objects. Nick first studied on the Art & Design Foundation Course at Leeds (Jacob Kramer) College of Art and continued his studies at The Polytechnic Wolverhampton and Stourbridge College of Art.

He lectures on modern art and design history and runs other, short art & design units at London College of Contemporary Arts, OPEN Ealing and Richmond Adult Community College.
