The course comprises three workshops which you can either attend individually, or join all three at a discounted rate.
1 – My Senses / the Senses of the World
2 – Writing the Body
3 – Writing Aloud
Through practical exercises and discussions, we will explore writing as an embodied, whole-body or ‘incarnated’ activity. We’ll practice techniques focusing on the materiality of language and on reading aloud as editorial and generative practice. Drawing from performance techniques and experimental practices, we will consider modes of writing that are imbued with physicality and in resonance with the outside world and with the reader.
Are you a writer or poet? Are you interested in exploring the relationship between physical body, voice and language, from composition to performance? These workshops are for you.
