Babies and children love songs, rhythms and music and benefit from a musical environment. Monkey Music classes are designed for children aged 3 months to 4 years old. We group children in small classes according to their age. Each class is 30 minutes long. There are original songs, as well as traditional nursery rhymes so everyone can join in the fun.
Rock’n’Roll – 3 months to rising 12 months
Music has a diverse positive effect on babies, encouraging their development both mentally and physically. Monkey Music Rock’n’Roll class can stimulate the pathways responsible for many skills, such as creativity and spatial intelligence. It is also a gentle bonding exercise for carer and child.
Heigh-Ho – from 12 months
With developing language skills, walking, and the ability to pay attention for longer, this age group are more engaged with music than infants. The up-beat and entertaining music in the Heigh-Ho class captivates the young audience. In this class, toddlers’ vocalisations will change from being monotone to including high and low notes. Rhythmically, they will often dance and play instruments with a strong sense of beat.
Jiggety-Jig – 2 + 3 year olds
At this age, children will begin to sing unaccompanied and create music without musical support. Monkey Music Jiggerty-Jig class will teach your child to hear and understand music when the sound is not physically present. It’s an opportunity for your toddler to have fun with their friends and develop a strong musical foundation for their future learning.
